The team at Rork Projects transformed part of the basement car park at 215 Adelaide Street Brisbane to accommodate the increase in cycling traffic to the CBD.
Lockin Lockers was engaged on behalf of Rork, and architect Arkhefield to build brand new amenities and custom lockers for Challengers new space.
The end-of-trip facility saw the creation of 132 high quality, modern PS2 and PB2 hanging lockers for the Male and Female change rooms. With a retro-inspired colour palette, the lockers doors and end panels were finished in custom 2pac paint ‘Robins Egg’ blue with contrasting matte black code locks by Digilock. Above the lockers, Lockin created custom bulkheads with an LED lighting strip recess. And below, a combination of shoe boxes and bench seating finished in Laminex Oyster Grey laminate.
Alongside the change rooms, Lockin’s partner Leda Security installed more than 100 bike racks within the polycarbonate mesh secure parking area.
As active transport increases in popularity, more design lead end-of-trip spaces are being created all across Australia. The Lockin team were thrilled to be a part of this transformation.
