A ‘fresh start and end’ to the day

A ‘haven for the building community so their day starts and ends in fresh new surroundings’. That’s how our client at 8 Exhibition Street describes their end-of-trip (EOT) facilities, and it’s a great summary of the fresh, relaxed ambiance of the project.

Located at the ‘Paris’ end of Melbourne’s CBD, 8 Exhibition Street is a premium office tower offering views over the Dandenong Ranges, Royal Botanic Gardens, Southbank and out towards Port Phillip Bay. It is surrounded by the historic Herald and Weekly Times building, now elegantly restored as residential apartments.

The EOT facility includes showers, change rooms, bike racks and lockers. At 8 Exhibition, we installed 228 PL2+ hanging lockers, with an attached bench seat. The slatted bench seats used polished Tasmanian Oak slats, the wood contrasting to stunning effect with the Laminex ‘Battalian’ locker doors. The lockers were finished with white vinyl numbering and an Ojmar OCS Touch Lock.

The fitout also included towel storage, ironing board units and the manufacture and installation of custom vanities including mirrors for the male and female change rooms. We also produced custom free-standing shower bench seats for the facility. A separate bank of mini lockers and towel bins were installed in the entryway.
