The name says it all. The end-of-trip facilities at the CBW building are named ‘Refresh’, and our fitout was designed to contribute to a facility that would refresh and revitalise the office workers at this 26 level office building located in the legal and financial hub of Melbourne’s CBD.

A total of 602 P2 lockers were installed, together with attached black stained timber bench seating. The locker doors were constructed using Laminex ‘Alaskan’ panels, with gold edging from Hranipex and unique locker numbering utilising gold acrylic paint filled discs. Ojmar OCS Touch Locks were fitted to each locker. The total effect is clean, stylish and quite striking. Alongside the lockers, the fitout at CBW also included ironing board units, towel storage and airing cupboards.

A particular challenge for the team with this project was the installation of the bulkheads, due to the number of multiple services, ducting, fire sprinkler pipes and vent grilles overhead. In most cases the space above each locker bank had to be first surveyed, then the bulkhead custom cut and fitted to each individual design.

The CBW building is well known for its distinctive, dynamic architecture and stylish interiors. The Lockin fitout at ‘Refresh’ is a worthy continuation of that eye-catching aesthetic.
