Southgate is a key business precinct and a bustling hive of activity set alongside Melbourne’s Yarra River. Nearby at City Road, Southgate Towers is home to many blue-chip clients including HWT, IBM, LinkedIn and Dairy Australia.
The Towers’ planned end-of-trip (EOT) facility needed to reflect the premium quality of this iconic Southbank address. Our brief was to ensure the EOT amenities embodied this quality, and enhanced Southgate Towers reputation and desirability for current tenants and new clientele.
The Tower’s tenants include a large number of people who jog, walk or ride into the city, and therefore needed to cater to those pursuing a healthy, physically active lifestyle. Alongside fitting out 644 Lockin P2 lockers, we included seating and shoe shelves, airing units, towel storage, wooden hangers and an ironing station to ensure the Towers’ tenants could begin their working day feeling fresh and fully at ease.
The striking design of our fitout featured Tasmanian oak timber seats, China Blue, Charcoal and Bluegrass laminate board from Laminex. The lockers were finished with a colourful vinyl wrap complete with vinyl numbering, and fitted with Ojmar OCS touch locks.
We’re incredibly proud of the finished end-of-trip facility at Southgate Towers, and in particular, our ability to quickly adapt to the project’s changing demands and challenges throughout the construction.
