Refresh, update and expand our current end-of-trip facilities. That was the client brief for the 38-floor office building at Freshwater Place in Melbourne’s busy Southbank precinct.
Our work included 418 PL2 hanging lockers, finished in Laminex ‘Battalion’ and ‘Alaskan’ materials. The chosen locking system was the Gantner Smart Card system, that integrated with the buildings access control. The lockers also featured bench and padded seating and integrated shoe shelves.
A feature that required a custom approach was the curved wall. To achieve the perfect fit, we worked closely with the builder to make sure the curved lockers could be installed seamlessly. The bulkheads were also purpose designed to enable access to services like the lock controls.
The last word should perhaps be left to project architect Gray Puksand – ‘a premium end-of-trip facility’, we couldn’t agree more.
