What was the brief for our end-of-trip (EOT) fitout for 485 La Trobe Street? There’s a clue on the A-grade office building’s website, with the phrase ‘designed to make work-life even easier’ taking a prominent place.

The EOT installation included 330 P2 lockers customised with routed ventilation slots, two-toned laminate doors, locker numbering and the addition of a combination shoe shelf and bench seat. Each locker was fitted with a discreet Gantner Smart Card Locking System. Airing cupboards and towel storage were also installed in the bathroom areas.

The bulkheads were specially designed to accommodate power storage services. Lockin’s flexibility and adaptability to differing floor plans were on show, as bulkheads needed to be individually configured to allow for varying conditions above each bank of lockers. Changing construction plans and reconfigured spaces meant a rapid turnaround of designs for some locker banks, which we were again happy to accommodate.

Lockin’s parent company ISM was also involved in the EOT fitout, supplying custom-built vanities, towel storage, and doors. ISM also played a key role in the refurbishment of the building’s lobby, supplying solid timber curved seating, an assortment of planter boxes, a custom reception counter and matching wall paneling. In the common areas, ISM built an integrated vertical garden, curved seating and wall paneling.
