There are some activities even a major refurbishment can’t interrupt – and your regular gym workout is one of them. During the entire period our fitout for the Goodlife Health Club in Melbourne’s Glen Iris was installed, the gym maintained normal opening hours, so keen members didn’t have to miss a session!
Our fitout was part of a larger project partnered with our parent company ISM Interiors. The lockers comprised 112 P2 lockers in both male and female change rooms, finished in alternating colours of Laminex Fossil and Laminex Oyster Linea. Each locker featured a brushed aluminum number, and a padlock receiver so clients could use their own locks. Bench seats were constructed from spotted gum, and each change room also featured an ironing board facility.
Similarly, P2 lockers were also installed into the base of the club’s staircase, utilising otherwise unused space.
Spotted gum also featured in the club’s reception desk, although of a different vintage, having been sourced from a 300 year old church. A decorative screen in the area also featured the recycled timber to great effect. Planter boxes behind the reception desk added a clean green touch to a visually fresh and welcoming space.
ISM also installed custom joinery in the change rooms’ vanity area, using a pristine Caesar Stone Organic for the vanities and benches. Stainless steel hairdryer holders added a premium touch to the space.
