You know when you’re creating an office fitout for a respected residential design and building company you’d better be on top of your game!
The head office of Porter Davis is sited in the busy corporate precinct of Melbourne’s Docklands, and has a design ethos that reflects the diverse style inspirations offered to their clients as they plan their own homes look and feel. That ethos translates to each work area within the office embodying a different ‘style destination’ – Berlin, New York, Bali, London, and Milan.
The challenge was to create banks of office lockers that would integrate seamlessly across the various themes throughout the office space. Every bank of lockers has a distinctly different colour and finish to match its surrounds. In total, 287 H2 and H3 lockers were installed, with some customised to be 100mm wider than our standard to meet the client’s requirements.
Each bank featured either eye-catching vinyl graphics or custom finishes, plus bottom drawers for services and extra storage (some also featured customised overhead storage as well). Lockers were fitted with a mail slot, acrylic cardholder and a Gantner smart lock system.
With a 300+ strong workforce and an activity-based workplace approach, the Porter Davis fitout had to be both stylistically integrated with the unique interior design of the office, and truly functional for their mobile work teams. The best recommendation came via our client: ‘We have a work home like no other.’
